I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
